Cassandra baked some red bean buns.
She sold $\dfrac{5}{6}$ of the buns to her neighbours
and ate $\dfrac{1}{4}$ of the remaining buns.
She was left with 12 buns.
How many red bean buns did she bake?

Let the total units of buns Cassandra baked	= $6 × 4 = 24$ units
Units of buns left after selling to her neighbours	= $\dfrac{1}{6}$ $\times$ $24 = 4$ units
Units of buns left after eating some	= $\dfrac{3}{4}$ $\times$ $4 = 3$ units

$$3\ units ⟶ 12\ buns$$ $$1\ unit ⟶ 4\ buns$$ Total number of red bean buns baked = $24 × 4 = \boxed{96}$
