Susan bought some apples, oranges and pears from the market.
The ratio of the number of apples to the number of oranges was $8 : 11$.
There were 12 more pears than apples and 6 more pears than oranges.
Susan put 6 fruits in 1 plastic bag, but it was so heavy,
she can only carry 2 plastic bags of fruits.
How many friends must she find to help her carry her fruits?

Let $u$ be an unit of proportion.
Number of pears = $8u + 12 = 11u + 6$

$12 - 6$ = $11u - 8u$
$3u$ = $6$
$1u$ = $2$
Total number of fruits = $8u + 11u + 11u + 6$
= $30u + 6$
= $66$
Number of plastic bags = $66 ÷ 6$
= $11$
Number of friends needed = $11 ÷ 2 \approx \boxed{6}$

$12 - 6$	= $11u - 8u$
$3u$	= $6$
$1u$	= $2$
Total number of fruits	= $8u + 11u + 11u + 6$
	= $30u + 6$
	= $66$
Number of plastic bags	= $66 ÷ 6$
	= $11$
