The total volume of apple juice in Barrel A and Barrel B is 5.4 $\ell$.
The total volume of apple juice in Barrel B and Barrel C is 4.8 $\ell$.
The volume of apple juice in Barrel A is $\dfrac{3}{2}$ the volume of apple juice in Barrel C.
What is the average volume of apple juice in the three barrels?

Let $a$, $b$, and $c$ be volumes of apple juice in Barrels A, B and C.
$a$ = $1.5c$
Hence,

$a + b$	= $b + 1.5c$ = $5.4$
$b$	= $5.4 - 1.5c$

and

$b + c$	= $4.8$
$b$	= $4.8 - c$

So,

$5.4 - 1.5c$	= $4.8 - c$
$1.5c - c$	= $5.4 - 4.8$
$0.5c$	= $0.6$
$\Rightarrow$ $c$	= $1.2\ ℓ$
and $b$	= $4.8 - 1.2$ = $3.6\ ℓ$
and $a$	= $1.5 × 1.2$ = $1.8\ ℓ$
Total volume of apple juice	= $1.2 + 3.6 + 1.8$
	= $6.6\ ℓ$

Hence, average volume of apple juice in the three barrels	= $6.6 ÷ 3$
	= $\boxed{2.2\ ℓ}$
